Too tired to blog about our road trip to Santa Clara (N. California), San Francisco for a day, and then down the coast to Cambria and then L.A. I did upload a bunch of shots so enjoy those for now. :)

Did anything foolish happen en route?
Ah, my love is like a milk thistle... Safe inside the barbed wire with you.
Other silly/foolish things to do along Rte. 1
1.) Get lost
2.) Find some traffic.
3.) Ask any bikers over the age of 50 if they knew this James Dean character. Do this with an exaggerated Faux European accent.
4.) Turn on a GPS and follow it too closely off a cliff. (Yes this is possilble!)
5.) Get gas at wildly inflated prices.
6.) Climb the tree looking for larger cones.
7.) Get home after dark.
8.) Hit the out of the way switchbacks at 60MPH+
9.) Eat at a place promising 'Home cooking' along with scales & showers.
10.) Rely on your cell in an emergency in a canyon.

First of all, I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's death. It seems like you have such a great network of support, such a blessing in times like this.
