Candy Hearts..............gelatin BLECH!

I've always known gelatin was pretty "icky". Being made out of horse hooves and other animal bones, it's just plainly disgusting. I was saddened when I discovered that candy valentine hearts are made with gelatin (so are altoids). I can't eat my candy hearts anymore, so I brought the remaining boxes from the pack I purchased, and gave them to a teacher friend at my school. I really love those hearts, but I did the right thing. Besides the fact that I'm vegetarian, religion wise, gelatin is just wrong. Granted I don't fully keep kosher in that I don't necessarily look for kosher labels, but I am definitely aware in my consciousness.

No more candy hearts for me.
